Supporting Your Child’s Education
Every child deserves the chance to move, thrive and belong.
Sessions specifically designed for those who receive SEN support at school or who are home educated, including those with EHCPs and EOTAS packages.
Whether your child is on the SEND register and working towards outcomes in their EHCP or IEP, or you simply want to see them more engaged, active and confident at school, our specialist sessions provide targeted, meaningful support.
We work with parents, school and local authorities to deliver online SEND-focused interventions that form an integral part of a child’s education. We focus on physical development alongside executive function skills like focus, attention, working memory and social skills - all in a fun, inclusive and engaging session. Where relevant, sessions are designed to align with National Curriculum outcomes for Key Stages 1 to 4.
Who Sessions Are For
Our education sessions are designed to support children and young people aged 4 to 18 years, whether they are learning in or out of a school setting.
We support pupils with a range of needs in a different settings and locations. For those who are home educated, sessions can take place in online or in person and, where appropriate, our coaches can deliver sessions in your own home. For pupils attending a school or alternative provision, sessions can also be delivered in the education setting.
What Sessions Cover
All our programmes are designed to incorporate executive function skills, such as working memory and problem solving, whilst ensuring sessions are fun and engaging. Where relevant, your child’s coach can tailor their programme to support their progress towards outcomes across all four broads areas of SEND in their EHCP or SEN support plan.
The focus of sessions may include a combination of the following:
EHCP outcomes — working directly towards physical and sensory targets identified in your child's plan.
Focus, attention and self-regulation — using movement to develop the executive function skills that support learning across all areas of life.
Social and communication skills — building confidence with turn-taking, teamwork, following instructions, asking for help, expressing needs and interacting positively with others.
Independence and life skills — developing the physical foundations, confidence and problem-solving skills for greater independence in daily routines and everyday activities.
Confidence and emotional wellbeing — helping children feel capable, included and proud of what their body can do, while building resilience, motivation and a positive relationship with movement.
For Parents: Working Together
We know that as a parent of a child with SEND, you've likely already navigated a lot: long waiting lists, services that don't quite fit, professionals who may mean well but don't quite understand. We want your experience with us to feel completely different.
From the very first conversation, we'll listen carefully, ask the right questions and be honest about how we can help. We'll keep you informed about your child's progress and work alongside any other professionals involved in their care.
Education Online
We understand that, for many children using our education service, leaving the house and learning in an unfamiliar environment can be a challenge. We also recognise how hard it can be to find a suitable fitness coach in your local area with the right expertise to support your child.
Our set up for online sessions has been carefully considered to ensure we deliver engaging and effective learning in a format that suits all our clients. With multiple screens so your child can interact with their coach, follow live demonstrations and make use of visual and video resources to support their understanding, our online sessions are an excellent alternative when face-to-face learning isn’t a suitable option.
